I'm 8 1/2 weeks pregnant! When we told my immediately family everybody was sooooo excited and just can't wait for the baby to be born, told me and DH we would be great parents!
Then we told DH immediate family and everybody was excited except for his mom of course! She looked right at me, and said "you don't even have a job, and don't even have a baby sitter lined up how can "you" take care of a baby"? Needless to say I am jobless for a reason bc my husband makes enough money to support us and a new baby and I'm going to school more than full time to finish before baby is born (I worked to support us while my hd finished school)....not like it's any of her business....needless to say I cussed her out at the restraint in front of everybody and walked out...
A few days ago I get a text from her telling me how's she is so excited about the baby and wants to take me shopping to get stuff for the baby bc she "knows I can't afford it"....so my reply was "no I don't want anything from you, your son and I have everything under control and told her you need to stop belittling me and worrying about our life and that she needed to stop hating on me bc she has to work etcetera and that she is a miserable person who makes everybody else miserable around her".....needless to say I'm now the bitch of the family blah blah blah....who cares!
How dare her tell me I can't take care of a kid!!! I am going to be a great mom and I've waited for this moment my whole life! And how dare her belittle me and her son when we are two mature adults who have our shot together, mentally, physically and financially?!?
Thank god my dh agrees with me and takes my side and stands up for me or else I'd be an jail or a psychotic home!
