I want to hear about the weird.

I've heard that babies bring out the weird in some people. I want to hear about it.

For instance the MIL gave us a copy of what to expect when you're expecting for Christmas. Nothing weird about that. Well a few days after we get home, I open a package in the mail only to find that book. I thought at first we had just left it at her house on accident... Until I found the first copy she gave us in the gift bag. She went out and bought the same book. Twice.

Not the weirdest by far, but I did get a good laugh.

Another weird/creepy thing, MIL got upset when I told her I did not record the heartbeat during my last appointment. Why? Because she wanted to set it as her ringtone of course!

Also. We found out MIL let it 'slip' to SIL and her family that we were expecting after SO told her specifically to not tell anyone. So what else did we get for Christmas? A red wagon of course. I love how she tried to play it off that nothing about us receiving baby stuff from people who were not supposed to know we were expecting was strange at all! (Yes we were both livid, SO put her in her place, especially when he found out on top of telling SIL about the pregnancy she posted a FB post hinting a pregnancy within the family). ANYWAYS. The red wagon was funny/weird because at the time I was only 7 weeks pregnant, I'm not going to tote my newborn around in it, and we live in an apt (aka we have NO storage space for a giant red wagon to just sit there for almost 2 years). My SO laughed and left it at his mother's house. When she asked why we weren't taking it, he looked at her and said when would we use this, we live in an apt on the third floor, and we have no storage. So needless to say they will be holding on to this 'impulse excitement purchase' for quite some time.
