He tells me tonight that he's worried MIL "might" be in poor health. She called him today and told him she needs him to start calling her daily to "see if she answers the phone so we know she's still alive." Apparently she says she's been reading the obits and just doesn't know how long she has. She's 63. She has RA and several other issues and is an alcoholic. She's alone because FIL divorced her this year, BIL lives states away and we don't let her live up our ass.
I told him he was being emotionally manipulated by him and he said that her legs have been swelling and what if she dies tomorrow? He said my reaction should have been concern about if she's legitimately ill. I asked if she is sick or something. He said he didn't dig that far into the conversation.
So pretty much he's fine with calling her everyday to make sure she's still alive. I know she's just trying to get him calling her everyday because she's lonely. I told him he's not responsible for her loneliness, she is and he told me that was rude. He asked me did I just want him to say "I hope that bitch dies". I said no and that I felt like he was accusing me of wanting her dead. He says he thinks I do because I've said so "in not so many words". I have never just FTR. He said when my parents are in poor health he won't treat me this way. She's still working for God's sake as a nurse!!
He said a lot of other mean things to me like pointing out how he thinks I have no friends. I do, they just aren't up my butt wanting weekly visits like his friends. When I told him that we needed counseling he asked why we would need to pay someone to tell us he's right. I'm just so angry right now. He won't listen to me that he's wrong, so fellow posters, have at it.
