FIL has a milestone birthday and MIL has booked a Sunday brunch cruise
Attendees: Me, DH, LO, hag MIL, vaccine-aggressive FIL, "explain your parenting decisions so I can judge them" SIL (to whom I haven't spoken since Easter when she said she was mad at me but we could just use LO to work up to her tolerating me again), accountant BIL, CO BIL and SIL and various nieces and nephews.
Soooooo this is going to be terrible. If I skip it, DH will still want to take LO so I'm definitely going. He's not getting on a boat with my kid without me.
I'm aware that this is a recipe for disaster, but am looking for coping tips. Feel free to toss in the "what are you thinking" comments but they won't be helpful. This is happening.
