Today I got a call from dh asking me if it was okay if his mother drove out to visit us. Thing is she wants to drive out tonight with her boyfriend who is an alcoholic and really freaks me out. I'm not happy about this because she sprung this up on the last minute saying she wanted to "surprise" dh.
DH thinks this is a great idea since he won't have to watch dd while he works the last 2 hours of his shift while I go to work. When I told him that I wasn't too happy about this last minute idea he got mad and told me he was going to call his mom and tell her I said no and that I needed to say yes or no right then because they are planning on leaving tonight. He told me to figure out what to do with dd pretty much saying he wouldn't watch dd while I get ready and go to work because our shifts overlap because I told him I wasn't happy about his mother pulling this at the last minute. He then told me that if my dad did this I would be all for it which isn't true because he would give me at least a months notice that he would be coming to visit. I think its rude to just call and say that you are going to drive out to visit and not give notice. DH is trying to throw me under the bus. I don't .know why he couldn't handle this and tell her it isn't appropiate to pull something like this.
