Exacty a week ago I had my baby boy via a c section. My FMIL tried to help for the first couple days. "Help" as in sounding like a creeper in my babies face and rocking him in a chair she specifically calls grandmas chair. While I did chores and pushed myself through pain.
Day 3 she ditched me to go shopping so I took my little guy to his first appointment. I ended up ripping my stitches and having to go to the emergency room.
Anyways since then she constantly tries to demand time with my baby. I always bean dip. Relatives come over and bring her flowers on being a grandma and don't say a word to me but wanna hold my baby.
The most recent thing is I've had to go to an appointment toget my wound checked and she's the only one who can watch him. I've mainly been breast feeding him but we've had to supplement a little because he eats a ton and I don't build up enough sometimes. She sees it as an excuse to bond with him but it's been messing with his system. My poor little man has awful diarrhea which he didnt have before recieving formula.
My appointment was today and I told her not to give him any and I made sure to real feed him before I left so she'd have no reason to...her response "it's not the FORMULA that's doing it to him..." The way she said it made it seem like my milk is poison or something
I understand she is a new grandma and is excited but I've lost all my patience and if I go home and she's over fed him formula like she always does I'm going to be pissed...
Do I sound crazy or is my reasoning sound?
