MIL lives 10 min away and sees LO twice a month, max. This is usually at a planned family get-together, like DH's birthday dinner at a restaurant or Mothers Day brunch at SIL's, for example. She is apparently always telling DH she wants to see LO more often, and he responds w/ what I've told him to say: "We'll come over for dinner anytime." She gets on my nerves, so I'd rather go to her house so I can leave when I want to leave. Well, in LO's 7 month life, we have literally been invited to her house a grand total of 2 times (we went both times). Why does she whine about never seeing LO, yet refuse to invite us over when DH has made it clear that that's the way to see LO? BTW, before LO was born (her only grandchild), she had us over for dinner fairly regularly. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to go to her house. I'm just a little perplexed. Any thoughts?
