I believe I have a problem. I'm not sure my relationship with my mom is normal at this point. We have grown to be very close after a few years of fall outs. We talk on the phone multiple times a day and I come over to vist 1-2 times per week. I am pressured every holiday to do something with them. My main issue is her asking me to babysit my little brother. She will occasionally ask me to pick up my little brother from school which is only 3 blocks from my house and sometimes keep him for a few hours so she can work overtime (he just turned 8). On weekends she sometimes asks for me to babysit and I've watched him overnight a couple times. I have a 2 year old autistic son and a 2 month old baby and I already have my hands full. I tell her that I am overwhelmed now that I've returned back to work (5am-2pm) and DH works nights so most of the time I am with the kids alone. She always gets an attitude or tells me how much it sucks she has no sitter but I don't either and she never offers to watch my kids! If I try and hint to her it's not a good time for me she gets an attitude and tells me how she can't believe she cant take OT, how my stepdad is upset that he can't do XYZ, how they never get help, etc. I need a spine because I'm getting fed up with her asking me all the time it's at least once a week.
