So I'm feeling kind of meh, and just need some insight.
Do you think love fades over time? That the way a mother/father feels for their child as a baby fades as they become teens/adults?
I ask bc my mom has done a total 180 on me. I mean, there has been subtle changes... None of which I recognized until I found this board. But it seems like as I got older our relationship changed.
She should be CO, but I'm a flipping unicorn (I'm trying to kill it) and am basically waiting for her to 'mess up' again for me to go ahead and enforce it.
I just wonder, bc she breastfead me, and as a nursing mother now, I know there's a lot of work, demand, sacrifice, selflessness and love that goes into that decision. How does someone do that and then decide that you are no longer their daughter?
Do you think that's normal? Maybe not to that degree... But that love fades or 'changes' as your children get older?
-I apologize for any mistakes, I'm on my phone and the screen is itty bitty.
