Breastfeeding red flag?

I live on the opposite side of the country than my family. DH and I have been on our own since we were in college and we are now in our early thirties.

My mother was not planning to visit when our baby is born, this surprised us because my mom has pestered us about giving her a grandbaby.

My mom let it slip that she had her bag already packed. When I asked for more information she said she was going to buy a plane ticket the moment I went into labor and would be staying at my house for a week. I'm floored because early on in my pregnancy we had talked about how I only wanted DH in the hospital and not visitors for a few weeks.

Now for the weird part. She bought formula and told me that breastfeeding won't get in the way of her holding her grandbaby. I asked for clarification, but could not get much out of her. I ended the conversation by telling her that no one will take my baby off of my breast.

I'll be new at bfing, but I'm pretty sure that if she visits during the first two weeks the baby will be feeding most of the time. My mom can't possibly think she can take a nursing infant away from mom? Right?
