When dd was only a few months old, my now CO MIL would come over, a few times unannounced, and magically get me out of the house so she could watch dd all by herself. It was a tough time for me- I was recovering from a traumatic birth and I stupidly thought this was her way of showing me she cared about me.
Once she came over right after she got her new leased car(a fancy Mercedes SUV) and said she came over to let me take it for a spin. (???? Crazy i know) I foolishly did it - took it around for about a half hour before I came back to see MIL had LO at 3 months old in her bumbo feeding her what I guess was left over mashed potatoes.
We didn't cut her off for another 15 months over something intense and unrelated to this but needless to say the visits stopped there and she got a reaming of a lifetime from both me and DH.
It's crazy that I can look back to that time almost 2 years ago and "laugh" now-- what in the heck was I thinking? That woman is BSC.
Anyone else have stories from before they grew a spine that are such obvious boundary stomps it's ridiculous?
