My ex has not been in our son's life at all, ever. They've never met. He had told his mother that I miscarried and his mother only found out the truth after my son was born. She's been in DS' life and it's great. We don't talk about her son much, he doesn't live in the state anymore. I know she's constantly trying to get him to see DS, but it never works. I tell her not to waste her breath, he's not interested and no one can force him. Still, every time she sees me "I think X is coming around". I keep telling her not to hold her breath.
For Thanksgiving, she's going to visit my ex and his new wife. She keeps hinting about bringing DS. At first it was playful and now it's serious. I've told her again and again that it's not going to happen. Not only am I sure my ex would be pissed, I don't want my son in that situation. His father will pay no attention to him and he'll be absolutely miserable.
How do I get her to take the hint?
