"no offense but...

I wasn't planning on visiting" was mils response to me when I told her I wouldn't be free for her to "come by" and drop off a "few things" until Sunday.


As annoying as the "no offense" comment was, she asked a question "any chance someone is home for me to come drop off some things I need out of my trunk asap?" (Blankets and junk junk JUNK) that I keep telling her I don't have the room for. Shes moved a few times and is downsizing and ends up dropping her stuff off here. Id rather her give it to the Goodwill because it ends up going in our storage. Anyway I told her I wouldn't be available til Sunday and her response was "no offense but I wasn't planning on visiting" and im sitting here like "yeah...like I said" .


I was home, at 6:30 pm eating dinner with my family and planned on getting lo ready for bed and going for our nightly walk when she was trying to stop by. Is she being unreasonable in doing this? Dh told me "if it were your mom you wouldn't have had a problem with it" but my mom doesn't "drop by" like his tries to.


Im growing a backbone with her and she just pushes all the limits. By the way she didn't come, I stuck by my word and said Sunday would be better.
