I am a long time lurker but I decided to go Anon for this one.
I am completely BEC with my Mil. I just had my son a week ago, and she hasn't called once to see how he is doing, but whenever I post a pic on Facebook she shares it and acts like GMOTY. I'm sooo annoyed by that. I just shared a super cute pic of him on Facebook, and she shared it with all this crap about "my graaaandbaby!!!" I'm ready to throw up.
Anyways, she has no privacy settings on her fb because she is a wannabe music artist. So she has a ton of people, like hundreds of friends on there, and I know she doesn't know all of them. I know I for damn sure don't know any of them. I want her to stop sharing his photos. This is the email I put together.
"MIL, I know you are excited about the birth of my DS, but after having a talk with DH, we have decided that we would prefer it if you would stop sharing photos on your wall. You can print them off and keep them, but you don't have any privacy restrictions on your Facebook and so complete strangers can get ahold of his picture. We don't know these people and we don't want them having private pics of him. Thank you for your understanding."
