The Storm clouds are brewing: first baby

I'm 34 weeks. My in-laws finally asked my husband (I'm at work) about when they can come see baby. He told them we are waiting a day to have visitors and then doing a short visit (under one hour).

His dad grumbled about "in my day", then called MIL and told her "they aren't going to let us see the baby when she's born (implying never, of course)."

MIL called my husband and asked if this was true.

Now, this is a classic straw man fallacy, which is par for the course for FIL, who is a FUCKING BABY and enjoys creating drama and then denying that he has a problem. Noo, everyone else is upset but HE has no problem. He's fine. He doesn't know what everyone else is so upset about.

So DH set his mom straight on the details. He says she dint' really react at all. This tells me I am about to have a whole bunch of noms. I'm starting this post not because there will be anything we haven't seen a million times before here, but as sort of a record of how this plays out so that if it all goes to shit I have PROOF.

Strike One: FIL not respecting our decision unquestioningly and misrepresenting it to MIL.

We shall see what is next.
