Dad trying to make decisions about delivery day UPDATE pg. 3

Been lurking and commenting, but I got a new screen name.

My c-section is scheduled for Nov. 14th at 7:30 am. My doctor told me today that I need to be to the hospital at 6am. I have talked to my mom about this for the last few months. It was decided that she would come to my house (7 miles from hers) in the morning, even though it will be early, so my kids can sleep.

I was talking to my dad today and he TOLD ME ( not suggested, not asked) that my kids will sleep at his house the night before so no one has to go out early. Now, I get it. And it makes sense. But it pisses me off that he TELLS me the way it's going to be. It also kinda pisses me off that he told me instead of my mom. She would have been nicer about it.

This is how my dad acts all the time. He also knows we have no other option since it's a Thursday and all the other grandparents will be at work.

My question is, is it worth it to tell him that I do not appreciate him talking to me like that even though I know it's the more logical choice. It's classic him. And I know he will never change. DH wants to turn the tables sometime when he needs us to do something and say "okay, but it will be done this way, on our terms"
