I posted here a few days ago about how FIL said out loud that DSS is his favorite grandchild. We don't partake in favoritism in our home. Every child is treated the same.
Long story short, they tried to gaslight me into believing I "misunderstood." I know I didn't. I talked to H and at first he said he wasn't there to hear it. Then he apologized and said he should've taken my word for it, so he is going to talk to his parents.
MIL changed the whole story around to make FIL come out of this situation squeaky clean. I told H I don't appreciate basically being called a liar. Today FIL texts me that he misses the kids and can't wait to see them again. He never does this so I'm thinking he has a guilty conscience.
Do I BH? Do I respond and act like nothing happened? My brother was always the favorite and I remember how much pain it caused me. I don't want LOs to go through the same thing.
