I am the eldest in my family of 7, I have 2 brothers who are twins, 20 yrs old. One of them is studious and shows little interest in dating because he is trying to finish college. The other has a gf(19) of about 1 year and they are just terrible for each other.
She has crashed his car (which had no insurance and she had no license) and tried to get him to take the fall for it. She has had her "baby daddy" threaten my brother for $60 and then claimed she was just joking. She has slapped him various times and has gotten into verbal altercations with my youger sister(17). She is controlling and jealous, going as far as to put a tracker on his phone. My brother isnt innocent by any standard. They've cheated on each other and my brother's personality has drastically changed. His grades have significantly dropped and any chance of getting into the nursing program is practically gone. As you can imagine, no one in the family likes her or the person my brother has become. We've all tried to reach out to him to no avail.
I've invited him to lunch/dinner only to be stood up, the last time ended with my son and myself in tears. I've repeatedly told him I don't want to know specifics of his relationship because it will only lead to problems. I'm done with him. The problem is that he lives at my grandma's house. I run the risk of running into him when I go visit her. I don't want my kids having a relationship with him. What do I do? How do I do it? Am I overreacting?
