Ok, so my MIL (technically future MIL) took LO, who is 2 months, to see santa today without telling me. i wasn't planning on taking him until next year because i honestly didn't have money for pictures. I would have at least loved to have been there to see him be with santa for the first time, and I'm really disappointed that she didn't even ask me first. She is a great MIL. she's not like the crazies i hear on this board, and she's not like my mom, who is the reason why i lurk on this board. I know that she probably had good intentions bringing him because i would've loved to have brought him to santa this year. How can i nicely tell her that i wish she would've at least asked me first. This is my first child, so i was excited about doing his "firsts" but this is the first that meant the most to me. I have no spine (still working on it) so i usually keep my mouth shut with stuff like this because i don't want MIL to think I'm ungrateful or rude. she's such a nice lady. i don't want to ruin the relationship i have with her. so, what should i do? I'm not overreacting, am i? Am i making a big deal out of nothing?
